New York City native Peter Terezakis has been using light in his work since 1979. Since the summer of 1996 he has been creating and photographing temporary kinetic light installations in Europe and the United States. As an ex-pat living in San Diego since 2001, his monthly full moon expeditions conjure landscapes of mystery and imagination. Terezakis has devoted much of his creative career to promoting the use of interactive technologies in visual art. He has taught at the School of Visual Arts in New York, University of California in San Diego, and has just been featured in Bruce Wands' new book, Art of the Digital Age. Ken Jenkins is a largely self-taught artist, experimenting
with abstract painting starting in 1996.
Abstraction and form come together in the artist’s current
series of paintings, (in progress) that features figurative
forms that seem to emerge from abstract textures."In my
work I express the idea that life is flourishing all around us
and if we would just awaken to the present moment, our
minds would open to the myriad of
possibilities and radiant bliss available to us.
